Counselor Information

  • Orientation runs from the Wednesday after Memorial Day though Friday. Plan to stay at camp during the week of orientation. We will have this time to get to know one another and to become acclimated to camp life prior to campers arriving.

  • All counselors are required to arrive at camp on Sunday evening (time to be determined by the Director) prior to the first day of session that begins on Monday.

  • Counselors need to check in with the Director upon arrival to receive room assignment before unpacking.

  • Bible

  • Bed linens for a twin bed along with pillows and towels

  • Twin sized mattress pad

  • Khaki shorts, T-shirts, gym shorts of appropriate length, tanks, etc. - no short shorts please.

  • Bathing suits for the girls should be one piece bathing suit or a tankini - bring many!

  • Toiletries, toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, etc.

  • Sunscreen and bug spray, WATER BOTTLE

  • Reliable waterproof watch, alarm clock

  • Nice clothes for celebrations at the end of each session and the closing dinner. Dresses or skirts for the girls and khakis and button-downs/polos for the boys.

  • Flashlight

  • You will also want to bring spending money. We have prayer partners each session and you will want to make purchases for him/her.

  • Snacks: we have a counselor fridge and room for personal food items. Make sure to label your food, as unlabeled food will be deemed fair game!!

What to Bring

  • There will be internet access, so feel free to bring your laptops, but at your own risk. Camp is humid, so be sure to take care of them. 

  • Rain jacket as we have summer storms sometimes.

  • If you need to leave campus at any point, counselors must check out with the Director before leaving and check back in when you arrive back on campus.

  • At the end of each session, even if you are returning the following session, you need to be checked out before you leave.

  • Be on time!  

  • Costumes/hats/props for evening programs and events (hoedown, luau, fiesta, water day, etc.

  • Special Events clothing (optional):

    • “hoedown” - dress up in cowboy hats and boots

    • “luau” - Hawaiian themed clothing

    • tea party - ladies wear casual dresses

    • science activity - lab coat/goggles

    • international activity - bring any clothes or items you may have from different countries

    • “fiesta” - Mexican themed clothes
